Vivacare, a leading provider of patient education services, today announced the release of its InfoRx mobile app that enables dermatologists and other medical professionals to deliver personalized patient handouts, videos and other health resources into the hands of their patients and family members.
The service is available at no cost for U.S-based dermatologists and dermatology PAs.
Patients are directed to AppStore to download the InfoRx app and enter a unique InfoRx code to view their own dermatologists’s Health Library. Patients benefit by getting health information from the source they trust most…their own dermatologist, as well as gaining access to prescription medication savings and other features. (The service is presently only available on the iPhone)
Dermatologists can distribute over 300 in-depth patient education resources to their patients through the InfoRx app. The content is made available from the NIH, Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Academy of Dermatology, medical publishers, and disease advocacy organizations, such as the National Eczema Association.
Physician users can control which titles are delivered to their patients and can customize the InfoRx app with their own patient education handouts.
The purpose of the InfoRx patient education app is to help patients better understand their skin condition and take steps to manage their health.
